Heineken brewer invests in media & presentation kit
A new multibillion dollar brewery near Johannesburg has implemented a sophisticated multimedia installation throughout meeting areas and on the factory floor. Integrator HFX Systems tells Anna Mitchell what's behind the scenes at Sedibeng.
Heineken, Diageo and Namibia Breweries recently joined forces to create a new brewery just south of Johannesburg in Gauteng. The Sedinbeng Brewery brews and bottles beers including Amstel, Heineken and Windhoek-Lager.
The three brewers have formed a co-op, which is the principle stakeholder in Brandhouse Beverages, a South African distributor of alcohol beverages.
Their new site incorporates modern brewing facilities as well as three meeting rooms, two boardrooms, a reception area, staff canteen and gymnasium.
Tom de Man, managing director of Heineken Africa, described the brewery as “one of the most advanced in the world”. With high tech brewing equipment in place it was essential that the AV and media systems matched the level of sophistication.
Sedibeng Brewery turned to local integrator HFX Systems to plan, design, program and install an AV and data distribution system for the new site.
