Vivitek adds multimedia player to 3D-ready projector

Vivitek has designed its D863 projector, with embedded multimedia player, for multimedia and video applications in office and education environments.
It can support 3D and the embedded player can handle Microsoft Office documents, photos, videos and audio files without being connected to a PC.
The unit has native XGA resolutionand provides 3,000 ANSI lumens of brightness with a contrast ratio of 15,000:1.
Texas Instruments’ DLP and BrilliantColor technologies are integrated into the projector, which is 3D Ready via DLP Link.
The projector is managed through a PC with a USB or network connection (RJ45) and can also wirelessly display contents from a PC/Mac, tablet or smart phone by connecting a WiFi dongle.
It offers connectivity options, including HDMI, VGA and USB ports and has a built-in 10W loudspeaker. Vivitek claims a lamp life of 6,000 hours in standard mode and its optical engine is sealed to minimise effect of smoke and dust.
