NEC enhances touch capabilities

22 October 2012

NEC Display Solutions has added new models to its range of touch-enabled public displays. Depending on the operating system, the 46- and 65-inch NEC MultiSync public displays will allow up to six simultaneous touch points (or four drag points).

The displays use four cameras with a response time of up to 120 frames per second, providing a high resolution, robust solution for interactive touch product applications, with no calibration required.
By using cameras rather than a capacitive or resistive touch screen, users can interact with any of these new displays using bare hands, gloves or a stylus.
