Christie pens $4m deal at GITEX

Dubai-based Eclipse Staging Services has placed an order for 40 Christie Roadster HD20k-J units for use in its Middle East operations.
The overall package, worth $4m is designed, to cover the company planned expansion in the UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. It was announced by Eclipse Chairman Mark Brown, and Christie's senior sales director for EMEA Simon Smith during the GITEX 2012 show.
Mark Brown commented: "With this major investment in Christie technology we are hoping to become a regional hub to other technical suppliers within the rental staging industry, and stop the considerable outlay to the freighting companies that haul these projectors backwards and forwards from Europe and the USA."
Eclipse is about to embark on a major expansion, opening technical facilities in Riyadh and Doha during 2013.
