Vivitek adds 4 projectors to D5 series

Vivitek has added four models to its D5 series in a bid to provide entry level multimedia projectors that can be used for portable applications.

The manufacturer has released D516, D517, D518 and D519 models with high brightness, 3D-ready capabilities and efficient long life lamp.

Vivitek says the units provide 3,000 ANSI lumens of brightness with a contrast ratio of 15000:1 and incorporate DLP and BrilliantColor technologies from Texas Instruments.

The series offers HDMI (only available on D518 and D519 models), VGA-in, S-Video, composite video, and RS-232c ports, as well as a two Watt internal audio speaker. The models weigh 1.9kg and have a lamp life of 6,000 hours in economy mode.
