xSolutions 2012 postponed

16 July 2012

IML Group PLC, the organiser of xSolutions, has postponed the second instalment of its UK event for Pro AV technology, which was scheduled for 3-4 October 2012 at ExCeL London.

"While we had encouraging visitor pre-registration figures and a host of new exhibitor bookings, commitment for space held on option has not been as forthcoming as we had hoped," said Iain McLean, event director.

"xSolutions 2011 delivered new trade and end-user business to most of the exhibitors who participated. But as with any event it takes time to develop and tweak the model. It is disappointing to have to postpone the event in its current format after receiving so much positive publicity and feedback from last year’s exhibitors and visitors," commented McLean.

"We are fully committed to the Pro AV industry and every other industry we serve," said founder of InAVate magazine and IML director, Dan Jago. "I am extremely proud that the inaugural xSolutions delivered the highest quality UK buyer, both trade and end-user, and believe that this is in the best interests of our clients and our longer-term relationships.”

Jago said that he and his team have been in consultation with many of the contracted exhibitors, and have some exciting announcements to make in the coming weeks. "Our UK AV / IT channel and end-user data is second-to-none, and although we are disappointed to postpone the event, we look forward to providing our customers with high-value face-to-face opportunities to extend their industry touchpoints."
