The Ovation 4.0 Media Server and Sequencer from Merging Technologies has been creating a sensation in the live events and AV industries. Used globally in world-class theatres, theme parks, concerts and AV installations, Ovation is set to become the new standard in creative AV audio design. Offering vast amounts of power and flexible operation combined with the ability to handle virtually any audio format, Ovation allows the operator to fully program a show and then edit and enhance it easily. Ovation starts as a simple playout device able to synchronously playback over 300 tracks of audio along with control information. Ovation then provides an internal mix engine (MassCore™) with 256 busses, EQ/Dynamics and VST plugin support to mix playback tracks with live inputs. There is a pack suited to every application and budget, and I/O for any purpose. Being a member of the RAVENNA partnership, audio from Ovation can even be distributed over standard layer 3 networks using the Horus Networked Audio Interface. Ovation can synchronize its multitrack audio and control cues to individual auxiliary timelines of Dataton Watchout™ video systems. Using nothing more than a standard Ethernet connection the sync is achieved with almost no additional configuration, allowing frame accurate lock between Ovation and the video prowess of Watchout™.
