Planar releases transparent display based exhibition product

Planar has combined a transparent display with a box for exhibiting objects to release the LookThru DisplayBox, an integrated solution for retail and exhibition applications.
Each product includes a Planar transparent active matrix LCD which fronts the metal enclosure. Planar’s ERO (Extended Ruggedness and Optics) technology provides a rugged, touch-compatible surface in front of the LCD.
The company’s Ultimate Color Illumination and Contrast (UCIC) technology is designed to enhance the transparency, image contrast and vibrancy of colours on the display.
LookThru DisplayBox measures 32" and is suitable for a variety of products, including personal electronics, sporting goods, clothing, housewares and other consumer goods. Third-party touch capabilities provide an interactive element.
The exterior sides of the box can display complementary static signage or branding. The box comes standard in a white finish and is available in custom colours upon request.
