Video-over-IP solution for integrated operating rooms

Barco has introduced Nexxis, an IP-centric solution for image distribution in operating rooms.

Nexxis is designed to meet the performance standards and requirements of medical imaging in surgical suites to allow better communication in and beyond the operating room and improve operational efficiency.

It uses a high bandwidth 10 Gbps IP (Internet Protocol) network to integrate surgical equipment, eliminating the need for extensive cabling and complicated configurations. The solution will support specialist collaboration, allowing surgeons and clinicians to share audio and video in real time with other surgical suites.
