Extron expands SMX with new USB matrix boards

Extron Electronics has introduced two new USB matrix switcher boards for the SMX System MultiMatrix modular matrix system.
The SMX USB matrix boards are designed to routeup to eight host CPUs to up to four peripheral locations equipped with one or more USB 2.0 devices such as keyboards, mice or webcams.
They support data rates up to 480 Mbps, and are compatible with the USB 2.0/1.1/1.0 specifications. They are available in two sizes – 4x4 and 4x8 and are well suited to KVM applications when combined with the SMX DVI, HDMI or VGA switching boards.
