Hall Research intros 8-channel Catx-based splitter

The UV232A-8S is an 8 channel video, audio and uni-directional RS-232 over UTP (Cat5/5e/6) sender from Hall Research.

It uses only one cable to transmit all signals to compatible remote receivers up to 300m away. The system utilises balanced transmission to eliminate ground loops and noise.

The sender can pass through RS-232 data to remote units or trigger the remote units to issue their own unique commands at each node. A video rest pattern function is built into the splitter unit which is useful for adjusting high frequency compensation and skew.

The UV232A-8S supports resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 at 60Hz. This sender is also available as a 4 channel unit, UV232A-4S.

The unit is housed in a compact metal enclosure with all connections on the rear panel, and includes a universal power supply.
