LG poised to mass produce 40” OLED TVs

Comments from the LG camp suggest the company is set to begin mass production of 20”, 30” and 40” OLED panels.

Tech-On reported that an LG Display representative had announced the company would volume produce 20” large-size OLED panels in 2010, 30” in 2011 and 40” in 2012.

Won Kim, vice president and head of OLED sales and marketing at the company, was quoted in Tech-On as saying: “They may be expensive, but it will be possible to buy a 40” class OLED TV in 2012.”
