The VSA-31-IP contains two elements, the IP module and client software. The IP module bridges the RS-232 connection of the VSA-31 to the LAN. The client software allows any networked PC to remotely manage multiple devices on the network. Users can configure and manage devices based on make, model, serial number or location. The software monitors device status such as power state, lamp and filter hours. Devices can be scheduled to power on or off at specific times. The software also includes a monitoring feature that can send e-mail alerts if a device is disconnected. Useful applications for the VSA-31-IP are facilities with multiple units and installations that require remote device administration.
