Scala releases latest signage software

Scala has announced that its Scala Release 5 software is available. Release 5 comprises new versions of the entire Scala product line, including Content Manager, Ad Manager, Designer, Player and various EX Modules.
The optimisations in Release 5 are all specifically geared to enable stable use of the new wave of Ultra Low Cost PCs (ULPCs), which are forming a major new trend in signage hardware.
Release 5 runs on a wide range of commodity priced Windows PCs at various price points. Also in this release is support for audio only channels, which can be used for background music applications, in-store audio.
